Dr Syed Tasadaque Ali (Nasir Raza)

Dr Tasadaque is an Associate Professor at the department of Education at SIBAU, he is experienced, highly skilled and problem solving synthetic organic and medicinal chemist and a teacher. He got school education from Shikarpur, BSc from SALU Khairpur, MSc from QAU Islamabad, achieved DAAD Scholarship in year 2000 from Germany and obtained the PhD in Chemistry in 2003 with Magna Cum Laude with great honour from university of Tuebingen, Germany. During his PhD research work, he synthesized chiral benzodithiine sugar derivatives as potential drug targets for the treatment of Trypanosoma brucei (sleeping sickness).
In 2005, he achieved Irish Research Council (IRC) fellowship to do research at UCD and did four years excellent research at UCD by making highly active anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer drug molecules which resulted in the state-of-the-art publications and an invention was also disclosed. He worked seven years at the School of Pharmacy and School of Biochemistry at Trinity College Dublin Ireland and is author and co-author of more than 45 peer-reviewed publications such as two Nature (IF 43), a Science (IF 41) and a Cell Metabolism (IF 22) etc., total Impact Factor around 230 and citation factor around 3200 (www.researchgate.net). He presented his novel research work at national and international conferences worldwide.
One most important example of his publication is Beta-2 adrenergic receptor-Gs protein complex published in Nature in 2011 with Nobel Laureate Prof Brian Kobilka, this publication played a crucial role in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2012, and the contribution of Dr Tasadaque to this extraordinary work was recognized by Prof Brian Kobilka in his Nobel Prize award lecture.
